The Academy requests that all parents, relatives and guardians follow this code of conduct at all times during Academy Judo Sessions and external sport related activities.
- Never force your child to take part in Judo
- Encourage your child/children to learn the rules and play within them.
- Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.
- Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
- Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performance of all.
- Never punish or belittle a child/children for losing or making mistakes.
- Publicly accept officials’ judgements.
- Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their Judo.
- Never use profane, abusive or insulting language.
- Refrain from “matside coaching”.
- Never attempt to apply undue pressure to your child, children or to the coaches.
- Please ensure that your mobile phones are either switched off or on vibrate.
- Please do not take photos or film footage unless cleared with the lead coach or CWO/AWO (Academy Welfare Officer).
- Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child/children are in possession of any specialised medication that they may require during their time at Bromley Judo Academy. Parents must also ensure that they inform the CWO/AWO (Academy Welfare Officer).
